Welcome to the Baraboo, WI Chapter of Becca's Closet! We are part of the nationwide dress drive organization started in 2001 by Rebecca Kirtman of Florida. Rebecca was a freshman in high school when she saw the need in her community to collect prom dresses and give them to girls who couldn't afford to purchase them. She collected over 250 dresses by herself, but sadly the next year she died in a car crash. Her parents have now made Becca's Closet a nationwide organization with over 50 chapters in 25 states. The Baraboo chapter is one of two in Wisconsin with the other in Beloit. This is our second year and we have already received a grant, The Purple Dress Award, from Seventeen Magazine!
Becca's Closet Baraboo is organized and run by adults Kristin Terry and Casey Carignan and student Casey Kothbauer representing Baraboo High School's Interact Club.
