Store Update!

This year the South Central Education Association office graciously allowed us to use their backroom as our store! The store was open February 19th, March 19th and will be open on March 26th from 10AM - 2PM! To date we have given out 16 dresses to girls in surrounding communities, 4 times last years amount!! We also accept appointments for other times than listed above. We are always accepting dress and monetary donations year round! Thank you everyone for your support!

Becca's Closet Fundraiser! March 11, 2011

On March 11th we hosted a fundraiser at the Baraboo Arts Banquet Hall. The fundraiser was VERY succesful, as we raised over $3,000!! We had over 40 raffle and silent auction items, along with gourmet food provided by the Food Service Class at the Baraboo High School, and entertainment from high school students! We want to thank EVERYONE who helped with this event, and the money we made will go to getting a more permanent space to store and giveout our dresses.

Welcome!

Welcome to the Baraboo, WI Chapter of Becca's Closet! We are part of the nationwide dress drive organization started in 2001 by Rebecca Kirtman of Florida. Rebecca was a freshman in high school when she saw the need in her community to collect prom dresses and give them to girls who couldn't afford to purchase them. She collected over 250 dresses by herself, but sadly the next year she died in a car crash. Her parents have now made Becca's Closet a nationwide organization with over 50 chapters in 25 states.  The Baraboo chapter is one of two in Wisconsin with the other in Beloit. This is our second year and we have already received a grant, The Purple Dress Award, from Seventeen Magazine!

Becca's Closet Baraboo is organized and run by adults Kristin Terry and Casey Carignan and student Casey Kothbauer representing Baraboo High School's Interact Club.
